Sigh. I don't even know where to start y'all. Yesterday was the big day and imagine my delightful surprise (that is said with pure sarcasm) when I arrived, filled with anxiety and scared sh*tless, at the dentist office to find out that we'd be removing not one but three wisdom teeth. I didn't even know I had three wisdom teeth. For goodness sake you guys should have seen me. I was taking so many concentrated, repeated, shallow breaths that the doctor asked me if I had asthma. I don't. I was trying to relax myself. But dudes, I totally got it done...sans gas. Yes, you read that right. Just with lots and lots...and lots of numbing. But maybe I should have taken the gas because now all I can think about are the sounds....ugh, the sounds of three teeth being removed. The things nightmares are made of.
So while my mouth is still in pain, albeit a whole lot less than yesterday evening, and it still hurts to swallow I'm trying to remind myself how much better my mouth will feel next week. No more soul crushing toothaches and discomfort - that's the pot of gold at the end of this rainbow my friends.
Anyways, it's Friday. And since I'm home recuperating, slowly drinking porridge, and watching a marathon of Four Weddings (don't judge!) - I don't have the extra energy to come up with my own original content (though I kinda did have) and thought I'd share some recent links to blogs and blog posts by others that I've really enjoyed and/or been inspired by lately.
+ I'm a huge fan of Gemma and her blog (she's been featured on Chronicled here and here in the past) and her recent reveal of her cabin makeover is so inspiring and beautiful in its simplicity. LOVE.
+ A new to me blog that I'm enjoying.
+ I'm always inspired by the way Jenny uses pattern and colour in her home. Love the chartreuse she chose for her console (and also a helpful post on how to strip furniture). Wonder if I can incorporate that colour into my apartment when I move...
+ Endlessly inspired by this instagram feed (one of my fave IG users). The colours, the textures, the patterns, the feel...so much inspiration for my future apartment.
Happy Friday!
*I totally took those three sons of b*tches home so I could take a good look at the cause of my pain but instead of sharing those lovely (sarcasm) photos with you I thought I'd share something a little less ugly. **The doctor did give me a prescription for percocet but since I had tylenol at home I thought I'd try those first. So far, it's been enough. If the pain worsens of the tylenol don't cut it then I'll get the prescription filled...but I think the worst of it is over. (Plus, say "percocet" and I think "intervention" - no thank you.)
