One of the things I love the most about blogging is that it allows me to connect with like-minded people  who, without blogging, I probably never would have crossed paths with. And I love it even more when those friendships go from blog land to real life and I'm able to meet some of these bloggers. Such is the case with Christy who blogs over at Planes, Trains, and Running Shoes. We both read each other's blog and left comments but it wasn't until I was living in India until we met in-person! That's right. She was traveling and heading through India and dropped me a line and I, in turn, offered her my spare bed in Delhi. And so it was that she, living in NYC at the time, and I originally from Toronto, met on the other side of the planet and hung out for a few days. Christy has an intense love for travel (a woman of my own heart) and is a dedicated runner (oh how I wish I were!) -- I witnessed her dedication first hand when, in the extreme Delhi heat she would lace up and go out for a run. She recently landed a great job and relocated to D.C. with her boyfriend - be sure to check out her blog to see what she's up to!

want // A cute apron! I love to cook and baking can tend to get a little messy sometimes. I've been eyeing the ones at Antropologie and might have to splurge one of these days!
need // A good run! I've been struggling with some foot pain for the last week or so and am itching to lace up my sneakers and get out on my feet again. I absolutely love the running trail by my new apartment and am itching to get out for a nice, long run again.
visit // Everywhere! I have an incurable case of wanderlust, but these days I'm craving trips to Rwanda and Croatia! I did my thesis research on Rwanda and I've always wanted to travel to the country. As far as Croatia goes - I absolutely love the Balkans and would love to visit! I think I may actually be making that happen this summer so we'll see!
learn // To speak French and bake macarons! The French would help tremendously in Rwanda...and macarons are just so delicious, yet so expensive, that I would love to be able to whip up the decadent treats whenever I got a craving.
eat // Ethiopian food! There are so many Ethiopian restaurants in DC and I've never tried the cuisine. It's definitely on my list of things to try!

--Thanks Christy!
