MY 8 RESOLUTIONS & GOALS FOR 2015

Now that we're a few days into 2015 I thought I would share the resolutions and goals I've come up with for myself. I've listed them above but, for myself in my personal journal, I've broken each of my goals and resolutions down into specifics and measureables so that, come the end of this year, I'll be able to look at each and give myself a clear "yes" or "no" as to whether I achieved them.

Let's dig into them a little bit, shall we?

1. Get My Money Right
Money is one of life's biggest stressors, no? Well this is the year that I stop being stressed over money. Despite starting some good financial habits last year, being stressed over my cash flow is a feeling that occurred far too much in 2014 and one that, quite frankly, I'm sick and tired of. So this is the year I get my money right. The year that I legit start putting away, consistently, into my savings account for who knows - maybe a fixer upper of a house in a few years ;-)

2. Take Better Care of Myself - Inside & Out
This is another thing that I made really good progress on last year. I started to pay a little bit more attention to what I ate and started working out and fell in love with my gym. As a result, I started to really like what I saw in the mirror and became more okay with my body. I did a pescetarian challenge for a month and will be repeating it this year - maybe for two months this time. As part of this resolution I'd like to start paying more attention to my outside, not to be vain but because when I take those extra few minutes and put some effort into my outside I feel good on the inside (and vice versa). Which leads me to goal number three…

3. Have Fun With My Style - Own My Sh#t
I'd like to have more fun with my style...and I'm tired of waiting until I lose that "last 10 pounds" to do so - I'm gonna own my sh#t now. I don't tend to put too much effort into how I look and have a very simple "style." What I'm finally truly understanding is that neither of these things has to equal sloppy or unkempt and can actually be quite stylish. By making a few small upgrades to my wardrobe I'll still be able to maintain my simple style but look more polished. There are also a few "trends" that I'd like to try out. I think I'm really gonna have fun with this goal and hope to share more around it as I buy new pieces and try new things.

4. Travel Overseas At Least Once
This is pretty self-explanatory I think. The last time I got on an airplane was in 2012 - that is far too long ago. Far too long. Some places I've shortlisted: Cuba, India, Morocco, and Iceland.

5. Read More
I have an entire post coming up about this goal so I won't go into too much detail. I have a goal of reading 24 books this year and am trying to read a little bit every day (but am not stressing out if I miss a day). As long as I meet my goal of 24 books by the end of the year I'll be happy.

6. Cook More
I don't cook a lot which is a shame because I love to eat and love my kitchen and have tons of cook books. So I have a goal of cooking, from one of my many cookbooks. at least twice a month. Doable? I think so.

7. Launch My Little Socially Conscious Company
Eeeek! I'm really excited about this one and will share more later. I know, I'm such a tease.

8. Have Fun & Laugh More
This is pretty self-explanatory I think. Whether I go out more or entertain in more - I'd just like to have more fun. And with fun comes laughter. And who would argue at having more of either of those?

Have you set any goals or resolutions for 2015? I'd love to hear them! If you have a blog of your own and have already shared them on your blog please link to them in the comments below. If you don't have a blog and would like to share some of your own goals/resolutions in the comment section below please feel free to do so!
