'Tis New Year's Eve Eve. Is that a thing? New Year's Eve Eve?

At any rate, today I got a text message from a friend asking if I was doing anything special tomorrow and my response was:
I actually have big plans to get dressed up in my pjs and eat takeout with Howard while considering my goals for 2015. Exciting stuff!
My friend's response? "Oh cool! New PJ's?"

My friends are the bestest.

But in all honesty, those are my plans for New Year's Eve. That and ensuring my laundry and dishes are done because growing up my nana always told us never to let dirty things follow us into a new year. And then on January 1st I plan on staying in said pajama's, eating leftover takeout food, having an all-day movie marathon, reading, and actually writing down my resolutions and goals for 2015; maybe I'll also pop out in the afternoon for a bit to go see a movie with my younger siblings. I know that for some setting resolutions and goals on January 1st seems…pointless and cliche. Really, every knows that you can set resolutions and goals at any time of the year but there is something about "starting" fresh - on the first day of a new year. A kinda blank slate feel. Writing in a blank agenda. Thinking back to the previous year and asking yourself "what do I want to happen this year? what do I want to do different? what do I want to do the same?" I'm all about New Year Resolutions and goals; I've already been thinking about them since mid-December and have even gotten a head start on a few! I'm also in the process of thinking of what I want my word for 2015 to be. You know, a word that you want to guide your year. A word that, when things get crazy and hectic as they surely do, will refocus you. A word that will define the year. I think I've landed on one but I'll decide on January 1st.

Anyways, however you plan to spend New Year's Eve and New Year's Day I hope you have a good one doing precisely what you want to do.

Thank you for hanging out with me this past year - despite my sparodic posting.

See you back in this space in 2015!
